Music Terminology has taken a vast leap forward within the past ten years from its past heritage heading for the twenty-First Century. Traditional terms are still a strong force, especially from the Italian, French and German languages. However since then, new technology has taken over which has wedged its way through since the beginning of MIDI (Musical Instruments Digital Interface).

     Perhaps to the traditional musician, these terms may appear strange. The door has opened with new possibilities unforeseen. It is the author's wish that the dictionary will be a new beginning for those with a tradition background for further exploration.
